Our mission is a simple one...to touch the lives of as many people with this rare and often deadly form of cancer as possible. The cancers that are most widely known are cancers of organs like breast, skin, kidneys, colon, and the like. An additional widely known family of cancers are those that arise in blood such as lymphoma and leukemia. There is a third family of cancer, however, that arises in the tissue that hold all of us together. These are sarcomas. They are cancers of muscles and bones and nerves and arteries and fat.

Sarcomas are a rare family of cancer with dozens of subtypes that all together affect roughly 13,000 Americans every year...that is less than 0.01% of the population. The people fighting sarcomas are our neighbors, our ministers, our service providers, our parents, and our children. They are in the low-country, the midlands, and the upstate. Regardless of their age or the depth of their life stories, they all have one thing in common: their fight.
